Creative patterns

Reads your episode log — Monday Drops and Friday Night Lives separately — and looks for what's actually correlating with performance. Grounded in what you've logged, nothing outside it.

Needs at least a few logged episodes per show to say anything real.

Research

Sourced, current information on where podcasting and short-form are actually heading — kept separate from your own data so you always know what's yours and what's outside context.

How this works

Written so anyone taking this over can run it without needing L. Michael to explain it first.

What Pulse is for

This is FAYEWAY Media's internal numbers tracker. Nothing here pulls automatically from YouTube, Spotify, Apple, or social platforms — every number is typed in by hand, once a week and once per episode. What the app does is turn those numbers into trends, comparisons, and goals so nobody has to hold it all in their head or dig through five different dashboards to know if the show is actually growing.

The weekly routine

Two things happen on a regular basis, ideally the same day each week:

1. Log the week's platform numbers — open Platforms, pull the numbers from YouTube Studio, the podcast host dashboard, and each social platform, type them in, hit Log this week.
2. Log any new episode — after a Monday Drop or Friday Night Live goes up, open Episodes, fill in the YouTube / Spotify / Apple numbers for that one episode, attach its thumbnail, hit Log episode.

That's the whole job. Everything else on the site builds itself from those two habits.

Rules to keep

Enter real numbers only, never estimate to fill a blank field, leave it at 0 or empty instead. Log consistently, same day each week if possible, since the trend lines and streaks only mean something if the gaps between entries are even. Use Export backup occasionally, everything lives inside this app only, there's no outside copy unless that button gets used.
